Derek | The Greasy Gangster
Introduction
This YuuriVoice original character debuted on July 19th, 2021 in the BitterSweet Chapter 3 premiere, and was finally heard as voiced by CardlinAudio on November 1st, 2021. He is an antagonist in BitterSweet, and is referenced early on in the series as the leader of the gang that Seth and Alphonse joined up with. He is also the ex boyfriend of Seth's mother, Jessie.
Background & Traits
Little is known about Derek's life before Seth met him in the city, where the two met thanks to him dating Jessie. He's the ringleader of a gang mostly comprised of young men that served as a key distributor of drugs within the broader organized crime syndicate ran by Auron, but as far as members knew, their gang was an isolated crew and Derek was the sole shot caller.
He is painted as a greasy slimeball and violent manipulator happy to throw his weight around and capitalize on vulnerable individuals, whether it was the addicts he sold to, or the young men he used to do his dirty work.
Jessie was not ignorant to Derek's dealings, and in fact, was quite involved in the business. So much so that when Derek was released from prison, she made it her mission to disrupt the gang's dealings and put them out of business. Whether it was spite, or some other motivation, Jessie successfully served as a thorn in Derek's side...and by extension, Auron's.
Allegedly, he smells like Brut cologne splashed on top of unwashed ass, and cigarettes.
I'll admit, I am curious. I've always had this morbid curiosity about what comes after death. It's ironic, don't you think?
