Faust | The Astral Streamer

Introduction

This YuuriVoice original character debuted on April 26th, 2021. He is a grumpy, entitled, self centered streamer who has been living off his dead daddy's money and is in desperate need of a reality check. At least, that's what his step-brother Auron would tell you. In truth, Faust is guarded and unsure of himself and his place in the world and is in desperate need of a friend. Faust is a bit of an anomaly, and you may find his timeline confusing...that's not a mistake, and he would be just as confused as you. Faust has ties to the narrative series Shattered, and Echoes of Evalas.

Background & Traits

The stars have never quite aligned for this astral themed streamer, whose sour attitude has made collaborations slightly more difficult to say the least. Whether his career as an influencer is lucrative or not, his fashionista lifestyle is funded by his deceased father's fortune. From youth, Faust was raised under the impression that he'd be the heir to his father's billion dollar company, but when his father remarried, things changed. His elder step-brother Auron was, by all accounts, an awkward teen with his nose in a book who frequented Hot Topic and listened to a variety of emo bands...so where did it all go wrong?

One fateful Christmas eve, his father died, and Auron's disposition changed. The company was left to Auron, and Faust was left with dozens of unanswered questions. Despite the efforts of his step-mother, Faust has spent years simmering in his isolation and frustration. He is well taken care of, and things are...fine. They're just fine. That's the frustrating part in his eyes, a constant state of okayness and neutrality after a childhood that was filled with rules, directions, and structure. He was free from that, shouldn't he be happy?

That guilt remains a thorn in his side, but as he begins to force himself out of his shell, he finds a glimmer of hope in a new friendship forged with a fellow streamer. After not getting his organs harvested in their first IRL meet up, it seems as though he's on the path to being a socialized, well adjusted person! Hopefully!

Coffee or Tea?

Before the series Star-Crossed, Faust was featured in the beginnings of a much different story that centered on his relationship with the barista at a local cafe. This story did indeed occur, with him meeting the one who designed his signature astral themed attire, and struggling with vague memories of a certain blonde haired, freckled barista who seemingly was never there at all. We were well aware that at the time, he was very fond of coffee...

...but during the course of Star-Crossed, he states that he's not a fan of coffee, and is more of a tea drinker.
