Lucien | The Big Red Demon

Introduction

This YuuriVoice original character debuted on October 1st, 2020 as part of a limited series that expanded into his general plot. Lucien plays with the popular Big Red Demon trope, and brings along his appetite for food and other indulgences along the way!

Background & Traits

Disturbed by a suspicious rummaging in their kitchen, Angel wandered their way through their dark apartment in the middle of night only to discover a very large, very red demon making a hellaciously large sandwich out of what appeared to be the entire contents of their fridge. This fateful meeting leads the two down the path of a supernatural romance filled with French omelettes (and several failed attempts at cooking them), daddy issues, and personal space heaters.

Lucien is a demon prince, but thanks to his strained relationship with his family in the depths of hell, he's wandering the earth looking for his next meal. He's been careful not to get too attached to any humans over the centuries he's been on the surface, but Angel's sarcastic sense of humor and willingness to not freak out at his very existence has charmed him. In time, the two fall in love, and he becomes more familiar with the modern world and its eccentricities.

When he graduated from sleeping on the couch to joining Angel in their bed, he befriended "Sir Gengar", a large Pokemon plushie that took up a significant amount of their bed. While Sir Gengar is a silent ally to Lucien's demonic acts (snoring, sleeping with mouth open, clapping Angel's cheeks), the demon is certain that they have formed a tight bond and are great friends.
